Top Fundraisers at the 2015 Race for the Cure
Each year at Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure, we recognize our top fundraisers with an award in appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the global and local breast cancer fight. On Sunday, we honored Kay Anthony, who was not only our top survivor fundraiser but our top fundraiser overall, raising $8,889 for the cause. 2014’s top fundraiser Paula Hiatt was this year’s runner-up with $8,611 raised.
We wanted to recognize a dedicated young woman who has raised more than $2,800: Ella Grogan was our youngest Top 100 fundraiser this year at 9 years old. Ella raised funds in honor of her grandmother and great-aunt, both of whom are breast cancer survivors. To raise funds for the breast cancer fight (with the help of her mom), Ella prepared and sold baked goods in the months leading up to the Race.
Top 100 Fundraisers
We also want to recognize the Top 100 fundraising individuals at the Race for the Cure this year. These dedicated men and women were lauded for their achievements on Race day. We are so grateful for their demonstrated support of the Komen mission to end breast cancer. Thank you.
