The Komen Puget Sound COVID-19 Action Fund
In this period of uncertainty and uneasiness with COVID-19, Komen Puget Sound is here – as always – to serve and take care of our breast cancer community. As many of you know all too well, breast cancer doesn’t care what else is happening in the world. Friends and family are still being diagnosed and treated, and we need to ensure supports and services continue.
The demand for our help will only grow in the coming weeks and months as those who have lost their jobs and medical insurance look to us to help cover the cost of diagnostic screenings and treatment. Komen needs to support our breast cancer community more than ever.
This is where you come in. Help us show cancer that we won’t stop! The money you donate helps us provide essential services for some of the most medically fragile among us. Your donations directly fund essential services for local breast cancer patients, those living with metastatic disease, and their families. Please help today!
Thanks to the stimulus bill passed by Congress,
today’s gift is tax-deductible – up to $300 – no matter how you file your taxes.
We know you count on Komen Puget Sound to provide local access to services, financial assistance and patient support. The Komen Puget Sound COVID-19 Action Fund supports urgent needs among our breast cancer community today. Donations to the fund ensure vital services continue for those in need, including:
- Financial assistance so patients never have to choose between necessities (food, rent, electricity, etc.) and starting or continuing their breast cancer treatment
- Patient Navigation aimed at breaking down economic and social barriers by pairing breast cancer patients with navigators who can assist them with translation, transportation, and information to help them gain access to necessary services and answer their questions
- General organizational support to keep Komen Puget Sound operating so we can continue to deliver our mission
