Fresh Fun at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
Still need a reason to register for this year’s Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure, presented locally by QFC? Here are four!
It starts with survivors
Race for the Cure is Sunday, June 5, which is also National Cancer Survivors Day. Race is the perfect way to celebrate the strength and courage of breast cancer survivors. The festivities begin with the Survivor Parade at 8:00 a.m., with survivors lining up at 7:45 a.m. Survivors may also register online for Race for only $35, no discount code needed. The survivor tent, hosted by Microsoft, is in a great new location near Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion.
A new theme is brewing
Coffee adds a jolt of energy to Race day! At the finish line, be sure to grab a sample in your very own take-home coffee cup. Or – if you’re a breast cancer survivor – look for a signature blend served exclusively at the survivor tent courtesy of Coffee Sponsor Dillanos. Plus, when you fundraise $150 or more, you’re eligible for one of these coffee-themed fundraising perks.
T-shirt packet pick-up near you
The week prior to Race, pick up your t-shirt packet in a location near you or at our Seattle office. If you’re among the first 1,000 people to pick up your t-shirt packet, you will receive a small bag of Dillanos Give Help and Hope coffee and be entered to win a Super Jock ‘n’ Jill gift certificate and Dillanos gift basket. T-shirt packet pick-up is also available at Seattle Center on Race weekend. This year, only Sleep in for the Cure participants receive a packet mailing.
A new sound
We welcome Restless Vocal Band and the fresh sound they bring to the main stage at Race. If you haven’t seen this a cappella group perform at other major local events, you’re in for a treat.
Don’t miss out! Register for Race today to save $10 on adult registrations with discount code EARLYBIRD2016 (expires March 14, 2016).
