Komen 101 is an interactive, two-hour workshop focusing on breast cancer awareness.
Participants gain knowledge in the following areas:
Methods for Prevention & Early Detection
Screening & Diagnosis
Stages and Treatment
By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to identify at least two different types of breast cancer, understand metastatic breast cancer, and have knowledge of the work Susan G. Komen does nationally and locally.
The workshop is designed for Komen Puget Sound volunteers who are participating at outreach events but is helpful for anyone who would like to take steps towards a lifestyle which supports breast and overall health.
